This Privacy Policy explains how Treasure Ray ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our app, SwiftRide (the "App" or "Service").
Information we collect
- Phone number — verified via one-time password (OTP) to confirm you're a real person and to give every ride a working point of contact.
- Profile information — name, email, date of birth, gender, and profile photo, provided when you complete your profile.
- Emergency contact — name and phone number of someone we can reach on your behalf if something goes wrong during a ride. Never shown to other riders.
- Driver verification documents (drivers only) — driving license, vehicle registration certificate, and a live selfie, used to confirm a driver's identity and vehicle ownership before they can post rides.
- Trip and location data — pickup, drop-off, and route information for each ride, so a trip can always be traced if needed.
- Payment and wallet information — transaction records for wallet top-ups, ride payments, and payouts, processed through our payment partner.
- Device information — a push-notification token used to send you ride-related updates.
How we use this information
We use the information above to:
- Verify your identity and keep the SwiftRide community safe
- Connect drivers and passengers travelling the same route
- Provide live ride tracking and in-app safety features, including SOS
- Process payments, wallet balances, and payouts
- Send you notifications about your rides, bookings, and account
- Respond to support requests and investigate reported incidents
Who can see your information
Your identity documents and emergency contact are never shown to other riders or drivers. This information is stored securely and only ever accessed by:
- Our admin team, to verify driver documents before approving them
- Police or courts, only if legally required following an incident
- You, at any time, from your Account settings in the app
Other users on a shared ride can see limited information necessary for the trip — such as your name, profile photo, and rating.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Your choices
You can review and update most of your information from the app's Account screen at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us using the details below.
Third-party services
SwiftRide uses trusted third-party services to operate, including Firebase (authentication, storage, and push notifications) and a payment processor for handling transactions. These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
